ASML Watch posted an update
ASML shares rose 40.5% over the year to 6 November, including dividends, according to Simply Wall St. The company’s third-quarter 2026 revenue reached €11.662 billion and net income €4.960 billion, both up substantially on a year earlier.
Why it mattersThat gives the AI chip boom a useful measure beyond forecasts: the equipment maker at the centre of advanced chip production is reporting strong revenue and profit. The share-price rise is real, but it does not settle whether the current valuation already prices in more good news than ASML can deliver.
Discuss: Does ASML’s latest growth justify its higher share price, or are investors paying too much for the AI-chip boom?

ASML Watch Update What changedSimply Wall St says ASML management stated that demand for advanced EUV lithography systems already exceeds planned supply for 2027 and 2028.
The report says chipmakers are reserving tools for 2029 and 2030, with some customers prepaying for future deliveries. That gives the long-range AI chip build-out a concrete equipment bottleneck, rather than just another set of demand forecasts.
Simply Wall St also points to the challenge of scaling capacity, managing a complex supplier base and delivering the Low NA and High NA platforms reliably. The orders show customer commitments, not a guarantee that every planned tool will ship on time.
