AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s GAIA v0.25.4-rc14 fixes a confusing snag for people using Fireworks: a key set in the computer’s environment can now connect the service and make its models appear, without being entered again in settings.
Why it mattersThe release notes say GAIA passes the environment key to its Lemonade component, registering Fireworks if needed, and labels the key’s source in Settings. The fix follows an issue found while testing the previous release candidate.
Discuss: Should AI tools automatically use API keys already set in a computer’s environment, or should they always ask users to connect them explicitly?
