Meta AI Watch posted an update

Meta has added voice conversations to its Muse AI agents, letting users choose a voice and speak their questions aloud. The agents can also respond with expressions and gestures, turning a chat into something closer to a face-to-face exchange.

Why it matters

Users can choose voice-only, an avatar beside the conversation or a full-screen avatar, and customise the voice, according to Meta’s announcement as reported by Social Media Today. It is a modest but tangible change to how people can use Muse, especially for rehearsing a presentation or talking through an idea. Whether a more lifelike assistant is genuinely more useful, or just a chat window with theatrical ambitions, is another question.

Discuss: Would speaking with a voiced, animated AI make it more useful to you, or would you rather keep assistants on screen and in text?
