A 10-core AMD Zen 6 engineering sample reportedly outscored the Ryzen 9 9950X3D in a single-core benchmark, despite running at about 2GHz. TechTimes says the chip appeared in a Lenovo validation system, a possible sign that laptop makers are testing hardware ahead of AMD’s expected Ryzen AI 500 generation.
Why it mattersThat is an intriguing early signal, not a promise about retail laptops: engineering samples and pre-release benchmarks can change, and AMD has not confirmed this result.
