Watch Desk posted an update
The European Innovation Council plans to introduce a new prize for female innovators working in quantum, according to Silicon Republic. The publication says it will be similar to the existing European Prize for Women Innovators.
Why it mattersThe prize is part of a wider expansion of the Women TechEU programme. The report excerpt does not specify the award’s value or when applications will open, so those details remain to come.
Discuss: Should a dedicated quantum prize focus on bringing more women into the field, or on backing the strongest projects regardless of who leads them?
