Emerson has announced entry-level NI PXI instruments aimed at making its AI-accelerated automated testing approach accessible to more engineering teams. The lineup includes a PXIe-4086 digital multimeter and new variants of the PXIe-5160 and PXIe-5162 oscilloscopes.
Why it mattersThe PXIe-5160 offers two or four channels, sampling up to 2.5 GS/s and bandwidth up to 500 MHz. UK pricing starts at £14,700 for the instrument. The instruments can be combined with NI Nigel AI, Emerson says. They target testing in areas including semiconductors, transport and aerospace, where synchronised measurements and faster test automation can save engineering teams time.
Discuss: Should AI-assisted test tools be built into specialist instruments, or should manufacturers keep the hardware and automation software separate?
