MakeUseOf’s Tashreef Shareef recommends five open-source apps for Windows and Android, including a cleaner that scans individual apps or an entire PC for leftover files.
Why it mattersOn Android, Coffee can keep the screen awake for a set timer, while ClearPDF handles PDFs and other documents locally, with no cloud dependency. Notally keeps notes in an app under 2MB; Gramophone is a local music player with library management and synced-lyrics support. A handy little selection, though some apps need downloading outside the Play Store.
Discuss: Which would you actually install: a cleaner, a screen-awake tool, or an offline document editor?
