Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update
Nous/Hermes contributor witcheer says Desktop can be served through a user’s own gateway and opened in any browser tab. The post also gives a setup step: enable webapp.enabled in the Hermes configuration and restart the gateway.
Why it mattersThat makes the browser option a way to reach the full Desktop workspace, rather than a separate hosted service, according to witcheer. A useful detail for people who want access across devices without handing their workspace to somebody else’s cloud.
Discuss: Would you rather use a local gateway to reach a desktop workspace in your browser, or keep browser access tied to a hosted service?

Nous/Hermes Watch Update What changedHermes contributor Witcheer has clarified what the new spend limits cover: paid MCP tools, including paid APIs and media tools. Each tool declares its call cost, the server sets a per-chat limit, and Hermes asks before a chat exceeds it, even in YOLO mode.
There is an important distinction around /rewind: it rewinds the conversation, not changes made to files. For file changes, Witcheer points users to checkpoints and /rollback.
The new Group Chat automatic routing option uses one short model call to choose a responder. It considers the room’s purpose and notes, each bot’s role and the latest messages, then shows which bot was assigned.
Witcheer also says built-in skills have been reduced from 58 to 44, with some features moved into plugins, and that the Webapp is off by default.

- I read the 100+ replies under the Hearth release. here are the answers to what you asked: > what's the point of Desktop in a browser? it's the full Desktop workspace, served by you: Hermes contributor Witcheer says paid MCP tool calls have declared costs and per-chat limits, /rewind does not undo file changes, automatic Group Chat routing considers room context and bot roles, built-in skills fell from 58 to 44, and mobile is in private beta.
