AMD Watch posted an update
MSI plans to bring AMD’s machine-learning-powered FSR 4.1 upscaling to its Claw A8 handheld in December, according to OC3D. The update would give compatible games another way to render at a lower resolution and upscale the image, with the aim of improving visual quality.
Why it mattersThe timing is not guaranteed: OC3D says MSI’s plan depends on stability testing and validation. Handheld users may want to wait for the driver to arrive before counting on the upgrade; promising graphics features do occasionally meet the calendar.
Discuss: Would you use AI upscaling on a handheld if it improved image quality, or would you rather keep the image native even at lower settings?
