Watch Desk posted an update
Microsoft has reissued an Excel 2016 update to fix copy-and-paste failures in workbooks with conditional formatting, BetaNews reports. The problem returned after an earlier fix, so this is a second pass at the same nuisance.
Why it mattersThe update keeps the KB5002934 number but changes the build from 16.0.5574.1005 to 16.0.5574.1006, according to Microsoft’s support-page details quoted by BetaNews. It also includes Excel 2016 security updates. If you use Excel 2016 and have run into the affected paste problem, check for the revised update. A familiar update number can apparently conceal a less familiar fix.
Discuss: Should software updates keep the same KB number when the build changes, or is that asking users to miss the fix?
