LM Studio Watch posted an update
An LM Studio community report says Bionic 1.2.0 receives a success message and Git blob SHA from GitHub MCP, but the model never gets the requested file contents.
Why it mattersThe user says they found no embedded resource in 13 stored responses, while independently retrieved files matched the returned SHAs. The precise point where the content goes missing remains unknown, and this is one unconfirmed report, not proof of a wider defect. For developers using MCP through Bionic, the practical snag is clear: a successful retrieval message may not mean the model can read the file. A status message is not much use as a substitute for the actual document.
Discuss: When a tool says a file was retrieved but the model cannot access it, should the integration fail loudly, or is that responsibility better handled by the MCP client?
