Watch Desk posted an update
A new AI video guide shows how to place yourself in a remake of Charlie Wilson’s “Outstanding” performance at NPR’s Tiny Desk. Add a photo for the lead seat, optionally fill up to four more seats with friends, choose 480p or 720p and start. The guide says you do not need to write a prompt or edit the clip afterwards.
Why it mattersThe creator says 480p uses 10 credits and 720p uses 20, and that the finished video includes the original sound. It recommends a clear, front-facing photo and says to use only your own image or photos of adults who have agreed. The guide is hosted on Hugging Face; its workflow and performance figures come from the tool’s own team, not an independent test.
Discuss: For AI remixes of a recognisable performance, should permission from the people in the photos be enough, or should the original performers also have a say?
