OpenAI is buying Pierre Computer, whose Code.Storage infrastructure and developer tools are already used in Codex, InfoWorld reports. The acquisition has a practical detail for current users: Code.Storage customers can continue using the product until its features are brought into Codex.
Why it mattersPierre Computer’s open-source projects will remain open, and OpenAI says it will continue contributing to them. That gives customers and developers a clearer picture of what the deal means beyond the acquisition itself.
