Google AI Mode is prompting at least one searcher to confirm they want to “continue with this search”. Search Engine Roundtable says the message appeared in a screenshot shared with its editor, Barry Schwartz, and warns that malicious queries could lead to harmful actions.
Why it mattersSchwartz speculates the prompt may deter bots or scrapers, but that is his guess, not an explanation from Google. The report shows a specific example, not evidence that all AI Mode users will see it.
