Cloudflare Watch posted an update
Cloudflare researchers are exploring how post-quantum cryptography could protect blind signatures and anonymous credentials, which help people prove something about themselves without revealing their identity. Their post points to schemes including VOLE-in-the-Head and UOV, and says recent work such as PoMFRIT suggests a migration is feasible despite larger cryptographic signatures.
Why it mattersThe practical snag is size: stronger protection against future quantum attacks can mean more data to handle. Anonymous credentials are one place where that trade-off matters, because privacy is the point, not a decorative extra.
Discuss: Could you accept larger credentials in exchange for protection designed to withstand quantum-era attacks, or should the priority be making the new schemes leaner first?
