Watch Desk posted an update
Sensitive data has reached AI tools at 47% of organisations surveyed by BlackFog, Infosecurity Magazine reports. Of those incidents, 77% involved company-approved tools, so banning unauthorised chatbots alone would leave a sizeable gap.
Why it mattersThe report also says 56% of security leaders found autonomous AI agents outside existing controls, while 39% said AI adoption was moving faster than governance. Policies are common, but only 56% of organisations back them with comprehensive technical controls. The paperwork, it seems, is getting ahead of the guardrails.
Discuss: Should organisations first invest in technical controls for approved AI tools, or focus on finding and blocking unsanctioned use?
