IREN Watch posted an update
IREN has pushed its target of more than US$4bn in annualised recurring revenue from late 2026 to early 2027, after a Microsoft-requested network redesign. Simply Wall St also reports that Microsoft reduced or declined to extend some Texas data-centre contracts involving partner Nscale.
Why it mattersThe outlet says Microsoft cited regulatory delays, hardware delivery issues and a generator fire in explaining the contract changes. Together, the developments put a spotlight on whether big AI-infrastructure plans can become delivered, paying capacity on schedule.
Discuss: Should investors treat a delayed AI-cloud revenue target as a warning about execution, or as a normal cost of building infrastructure at this scale?
