Bank employees’ worries about losing their jobs, trusting AI and finding time to learn are practical hurdles to adoption, BCG partners Kirti Choudhary and Vikram Sivakumar say in an American Banker interview.
Why it mattersTheir suggested response is more than a town-hall slogan: give teams a structured way to learn, show employees what their role could be after the change, and have leaders demonstrate the change rather than simply mandate it. The interviewees also identify cyber threats, fraud, third-party risks and operational risks as areas banks need to consider. That is practitioner perspective, not a survey of the whole banking workforce, but it puts the human work of AI adoption firmly on the agenda.
Discuss: Should employers have to show staff a credible plan for their jobs and training before introducing AI into their work?
