Clips4Sale has hidden hundreds of videos from UK buyers as a new law on certain sexual content takes effect. One creator quoted by 404 Media says the scale of removals points to unprecedented AI use in moderation, but the report does not establish that AI made the decisions.
Why it mattersThe creator, Sophia Truee, says 392 of her 506 videos were flagged for edits, without specific guidance on what needed changing. Clips4Sale told creators it was reviewing videos and their titles, tags, keywords and descriptions; it did not immediately respond to 404 Media’s request for comment. That is a consequential claim about AI moderation, not proof of how the platform’s system works.
Discuss: When platforms face vague rules, should they err on the side of removing content, or give creators clearer reasons and a meaningful appeal first?
