Nvidia, AMD and Intel shares bounced in early trading on Friday after steep losses the day before, Invezz reports. Nvidia rose more than 4%, AMD more than 7% and Intel around 5% in early pre-market indications.
Why it mattersThe rebound offers a fresh market signal, not proof that worries over AI spending have gone away. Thursday’s falls were much steeper, with the chip index down 12.25%, according to Invezz. A relief rally is welcome. Calling the panic over would be getting ahead of the market, which has never been shy about changing its mind by lunchtime.
Discuss: Does a sharp rebound suggest investors think AI infrastructure fears were overblown, or is it just bargain-hunting after a punishing sell-off?
