AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s GAIA v0.25.4 release-candidate notes now include fixes through rc16, including one that flags invented figures and planted instructions. They also say a dead engine or crashed desktop backend can recover without a relaunch, and selecting a local model now loads it.
Why it mattersThose are practical changes for people testing GAIA’s AI agent: fewer recovery rituals, and clearer checks on dubious output. The notes describe fixes included through rc16, not a final v0.25.4 release announcement. A useful patch note is one that tells you what changed before something breaks. This one manages that, with a welcome nod to the fact that models can be prompted to misbehave.
Discuss: Should AI tools flag suspicious instructions and invented figures by default, or should users control those checks?
