Andrew Ng says LinkedIn data shows AI has helped create 2 million jobs, while AI Engineer ranks among the ten fastest-growing jobs in seven major economies. Those are claims he draws from LinkedIn’s data, not a detailed account of how the figures were measured.
Why it mattersHis more practical point is that AI engineers can help teams such as marketing, finance and recruiting build workflow automations, dashboards and custom applications. Ng says the bottleneck is often product management and redesigning work, not writing code. A useful reminder that adding AI skills does not make the organisational work disappear.
