AI is making it cheaper for businesses to test whether a software idea is worth building, argues Tobias Fischer, a marketing leader at software company Euvic US. The catch: getting a prototype approved is not the same as turning it into a reliable product.
Why it mattersFischer says AI-generated work can add pressure to review and testing, the stages that still need people to check what the system is doing. His account is a practitioner’s view, not a neutral measure of how every software team works, but it usefully shifts the debate from code-writing speed to the whole delivery process.
Discuss: Should companies judge AI-assisted development by how quickly it produces prototypes, or by how reliably teams can ship and maintain the finished software?
