Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta has completed a $15bn bond sale and expanded a share-sale arrangement as it prepares for up to $145bn in capital spending in 2026. The useful connection for AI watchers is explicit: the spending plan includes expanding AI infrastructure and computing capacity.
Why it mattersTokenPost reports that the bonds mature between 2031 and 2056, with coupons ranging from 5.85% to 7.50%. Meta also expects about $28.7bn before expenses from the expanded forward share sale, with proceeds due when shares are delivered. That is a sizeable financing package behind an even bigger build-out. The sums are striking; the share of the spending devoted specifically to AI is not broken out.
Discuss: Should Meta fund its AI infrastructure push with more borrowing and share sales, or should investors expect the company to slow its spending?
