Perplexity is adding Teammates to its Computer platform, letting users assign ongoing work to AI agents that can continue in the background and retain project instructions between sessions, Analytics Insight reports.
Why it mattersThe feature is described as supporting multiple agents, progress tracking and Slack access, with agents able to hand work to one another. It is initially available on the web to Max subscribers, a plan priced at US$200 a month. That makes this a concrete step towards AI assistants that manage continuing projects, rather than waiting politely for the next prompt. The catch, for now, is the hefty entry price and web-only availability.
