Franchise technology executive Tushar Mishra argues that AI could help operators spot trouble by connecting signals such as late staff training, support requests and unresolved audit findings. His point is that patterns across many locations may be hard for people to catch one by one.

Why it matters

Mishra also suggests AI could help teams find practices shared by high-performing locations and bring relevant procedures or past responses to the people who need them. Those patterns can point to questions worth investigating, but they do not prove what caused a location to perform well. It is a practical case for AI as an operations aide, not an oracle with a clipboard. The useful test is whether it helps people act on problems, rather than merely producing more alerts.

Discuss: Should franchise operators use AI to flag locations for extra support, or could that turn imperfect performance signals into unfair scrutiny?
