Teleperformance has cut its 2026 revenue outlook, citing weaker demand for content moderation as customers automate basic tasks with AI, according to Coinpaper. The company now expects comparable revenue to decline by 1.5% to 2.5%, rather than grow by up to 2%.
Why it mattersThe pressure appears concentrated: Coinpaper says comparable revenue grew 2% when Trust & Safety, which includes content moderation, was excluded. The company’s chief executive said large technology customers were replacing basic moderation work with AI tools. That makes this a concrete sign of AI changing the economics of outsourced work, not just another prediction about jobs.
Discuss: How much responsibility should technology companies take for the disruption their automation brings to outsourced workers and suppliers?
