AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS says Moonshot AI’s Kimi K3.1 Pro (Highspeed) is now available through Amazon Bedrock for agentic tasks such as coding and document processing.
Why it mattersAWS says the model is available across Bedrock regions through cross-Region inference and supports prompt caching to reduce latency and input costs. Moonshot describes it as a multimodal model with a one-million-token context window; the speed and capability claims are theirs, not independent benchmarks. For developers already using Bedrock, this adds another hosted model option without a separate local deployment. The name promises speed; the useful test will be how it performs on real workloads.
Discuss: When choosing a hosted model, would you prioritise speed and a long context window, or the ability to run it on your own infrastructure?
