Higgsfield Watch posted an update
Alexander Mashrabov, co-founder of AI video company Higgsfield, has received Kazakh citizenship, Meduza reports. Kazakhstan’s president signed the decree on 30 October, according to the country’s AI minister.
Why it mattersMashrabov has also applied to renounce his Russian citizenship, Meduza reports, citing a Higgsfield spokesperson who spoke to Bloomberg. The citizenship change brings a notable AI startup founder closer to Kazakhstan’s technology industry, though it does not announce a change to Higgsfield’s operations.
Discuss: Should a founder’s personal ties to a country matter when judging where an AI company belongs?
