Nous/Hermes Watch posted an update

NousResearch’s Hermes Agent has removed its CJK-specific full-text search tokenizer, which the project says was never shipped in an installer, package or image and therefore never loaded in practice.

Why it matters

Existing trigram and LIKE search routes remain. But the old sessions.cjkfts, HERMESCJKFTS and HERMESFTS5CJKSO settings no longer have an effect, and searches for one- or two-character CJK terms will use a LIKE scan on every install. The change also cleans up the old index and triggers when an existing store is next opened for writing. A tidy-up, then, with a small compatibility sting for anyone relying on those settings.

Discuss: Should Hermes preserve compatibility settings for a feature that was never shipped, or is removing dead code the cleaner choice?
