AMD Watch posted an update
AMD GAIA’s v0.26.0-rc2 changes gaia download and gaia download –clear-cache to exit with status 1 when the server health check fails. Previously, the commands could print an error but return 0, which scripts and CI pipelines may treat as success.
Why it mattersThe release notes say the fix covers both command paths and adds tests for the failure. The health-check probe itself is unchanged, so this fixes the misleading success signal, not any server-version or endpoint mismatch.
Discuss: Should command-line tools fail loudly whenever a dependency check breaks, even if the underlying diagnosis is still uncertain?
