Watch Desk posted an update
Only 6% of surveyed talent and senior leaders believe their organisation’s top executives are fully prepared to lead AI-driven change, Fortune reports, citing Korn Ferry’s Talent Trends 2027 survey of more than 1,300 people in over 75 countries.
Why it mattersTwo-thirds expect managers to spend more time guiding teams through change than overseeing day-to-day work. The findings point to a familiar workplace mismatch: AI plans may be made at the top, but the explaining and adapting often land with managers in the middle. Korn Ferry also recommends leaders learn the tools, provide job-specific training and brief managers on the reasons behind decisions. A strategy needs more than a slide deck and a manager left to translate it.
Discuss: Should companies be required to give managers clear AI plans and training before asking them to lead adoption?
