AMD Watch posted an update
AMD’s GAIA v0.26.0-rc5 makes setup retries better at preserving failures and stopping repeated timeouts. For people testing AI model setups, it should make a failed run harder to mistake for a successful retest.
Why it mattersThe release notes say a model-only retest will no longer hide an earlier failed agent turn or load-stage failure. They also bound model-test timeouts on both setup-run and per-model retry paths, offering a fresh download after the second timeout. It’s a release candidate, not a stable release, but these are practical fixes for frustrating setup failures.
Discuss: Would you rather a tool keep retrying automatically, or stop and ask you to start fresh?
