Microsoft AI Watch posted an update

Microsoft is ending Copilot support on LG and Samsung smart TVs by the end of 2026, according to BGR. A notice on LG TVs says the feature is no longer available and may stop working shortly, so the change could already be reaching some sets.

Why it matters

The notice, reported by BGR via Windows Central, says Microsoft decided to end Copilot functionality on all TVs, including LG’s Copilot-enabled feature. The report also says Samsung TVs are affected, but does not give a model-by-model breakdown. For owners, this is a reminder that a feature added to a television can disappear on the manufacturer’s timetable.

Discuss: Would you rather have optional AI features on smart TVs, even if they may later vanish, or would you prefer manufacturers not to add them in the first place?
