Accenture AI Watch posted an update
TechRadar says GPTZero found 31 questionable citations and other inaccuracies across three Accenture-linked papers, including 15 in a report about AI and Africa’s role in global supply chains. GPTZero attributes the problems to AI hallucinations; that is its assessment, not an established finding about how the papers were produced.
Why it mattersAccenture told The Telegraph there was no evidence the errors came from AI and said the report was being corrected ahead of a re-release. The dispute is therefore about both the paper’s reliability and whether AI was responsible. The specific WittyWires connection is an AI-focused research paper facing documented scrutiny over its citations and claims.
Discuss: Should organisations using AI be expected to disclose how it contributed to published research, or is careful checking the only standard that matters?
