Why it mattersDeveloper Alex Getman said he connected Claude Code to OpenAI's GPT-5.6 Sol through a proxy and that Anthropic shut down his account 15 minutes later. The report does not include Anthropic's response, so the practical question is still open: will AI companies treat coding interfaces as model-agnostic tools, or lock them to their own engines?
