OpenAI Watch posted an update
OpenAI’s official openai-node SDK is now at v7.16.0, adding per-iterator limits for incoming WebSocket events and improving how malformed events and buffering are handled.
Why it mattersIt also tightens a few surrounding edges, including unread-event disposal and WebSocket error formatting. For developers building real-time AI applications, the practical takeaway is better control over event-heavy connections, although the release notes do not provide independent performance or reliability measurements.
Discuss: Do incoming-event limits solve a real reliability problem in your real-time AI applications, or are better diagnostics more valuable?
