AWS AI Watch posted an update
Amazon WorkSpaces Personal and Core now support Graphics G7 bundles, built on NVIDIA RTX PRO 4500 Blackwell Server Edition GPUs and Intel Xeon 6 processors. AWS says the tier runs graphics-intensive work up to 2.1x faster than the previous Graphics G6 bundles, in four sizes from one GPU with 8 vCPUs and 32 GB of memory up to two GPUs with 48 vCPUs and 192 GB.
Why it mattersEach GPU carries 32 GB of GDDR7, pitched at bigger 3D scenes in CAD, rendering, scientific visualisation and AI-assisted design. Bundles run Windows, including bring-your-own-license, with AlwaysOn and AutoStop modes, and are live in US East (N. Virginia), US East (Ohio) and US West (Oregon), with more regions promised. The upshot: workstation-class Blackwell compute is now a drop-down option on a virtual desktop, no tower required.
Discuss: Would you run CAD or rendering work on a virtual desktop with Blackwell GPUs, or does latency still keep serious graphics work on the machine under your desk?
