AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS has shipped v1.23.1 of its Bedrock AgentCore Python SDK, and the release notes list exactly two changes: a memory fix that moves onto the current Strands bidirectional session hooks, and an adjusted timeout on a memory integration test. One new contributor, one release bot, no fanfare.
Why it mattersThe practical read is narrow but real. If your agents use AgentCore's memory features alongside Strands, the patch aligns session hook handling with the current Strands API, the sort of quiet fix that prevents odd session behaviour you would otherwise have to debug yourself. The notes claim nothing about performance or new capabilities, so treat it as maintenance: upgrade if you are pinned to 1.23.0 and touching memory, otherwise let it ride.
Discuss: If you run AgentCore memory features with Strands, did the older session hook handling cause you trouble, and does 1.23.1 clear it up?
