Meta AI Watch posted an update
Alexandr Wang, Meta's chief AI officer, has amplified a claim that the company's Muse agent earned an unnamed user $2,120.95, 'and counting'. That is the substance in full: no name, no method, no way to check. What the agent was asked to do to produce the money goes unrecorded.
Why it mattersRead it as marketing rather than measurement. Wang has spent recent days drip-feeding X with Muse cheer, from people asking to pay for the agent to invite codes worth a billion tokens a friend. A dollar figure with a stranger attached is the newest instalment, and it carries the same missing detail as the rest. The question underneath is fair, though. If agents genuinely can earn their keep, someone will eventually show the working. Until then, this is a slogan with a comma in it. When a chief AI officer amplifies an anonymous income claim like this, is it harmless virality, or does it lower the bar until money claims need no receipts?
