Meta AI Watch posted an update
Meta's Muse agent has reached the Mac. The desktop app follows this month's arrivals on iOS, Android and the web, and it lets the agent manage files and pull from apps, which is the sort of work a desktop is actually for.
Why it mattersThe Verge's Jay Peters has the details. The timing lands in a lively fortnight for Muse: a No. 2 US app ranking, a warm review and one costly double-booked hotel room. A Mac presence puts the agent in front of the people most likely to hand it real documents and real credentials. The report is a launch notice, so the finer print on permissions and system access will have to wait. What is on the table is a consumer agent now sitting where the files live.
Discuss: Now that Muse can manage files on the desktop, would you hand it your working folders, or is the browser version as far as you would go?
