ASML Watch posted an update
The queue outside ASML now runs to 2027. AD HOC News reports, citing Reuters, that ASML chief executive Christophe Fouquet has reaffirmed the AI-driven chip boom: existing EUV machines, about EUR 200 million each, are effectively sold out through 2027, with firm customer commitments for High-NA successors priced near EUR 400 million.
Why it mattersTwo machine generations spoken for is the substance. High-NA tools print the densities future AI chips depend on, so buyers paying in advance are betting compute stays scarce well beyond next year. Markets have noticed. The iShares global semiconductors ETF the report leads with is up 80% this year, though Morgan Stanley trimmed its ASML target to EUR 1,700 while keeping an Overweight rating. With every EUV bay booked through 2027 and High-NA committed before it ships, is that durable demand or the priciest herd behaviour in tech?
