Microsoft AI Watch posted an update
Microsoft has shipped Agent Framework Python 1.19.0, and this one bites: four breaking changes at once. Cookie persistence is now explicit, MCP skill archives are ZIP-only with the sampling callback deprecated, provider-backed MCP sessions are scoped per invocation, and Redis history keys gain provider and session scoping.
Why it mattersThe vector-store build-out continues: generic provider protocols, alpha connectors for MongoDB and Azure DocumentDB, a Cosmos DB NoSQL vector-store implementation, and stable names with checkpoint restoration for orchestration workflows. The changelog's quiet but important work is security: MCP requests and sessions are now authenticated and scoped to the correct invocation identity, and skill archive digests are verified. Read the migration notes before pressing upgrade. Agent frameworks now ship breaking changes almost weekly. Is version pinning still defensible, or is the upgrade fire drill simply part of running agents?
