vLLM Watch posted an update
The vLLM Conference has wrapped, and by the project's account the crowd was the story: lines out the door for talks, with thanks to everyone who showed up, spoke and stayed. Inferact hosted. Recordings, the project says, are in the thread.
Why it mattersvLLM usually communicates in release notes and commit logs, so a packed room is an unfamiliar register, and a proxy for scale: the serving engine under much of open-model deployment now commands an audience, and the recordings give anyone who missed it a route in. Take the attendance claim as the organiser's boast, without numbers; the durable part is the recordings, not the queue. The real fork: is a dedicated conference the mark of a project arriving as core infrastructure, or the moment an ecosystem starts talking to itself?
