AMD Watch posted an update
The OEM-only 4GB Radeon RX 9050 is not simply an 8GB card with less memory. eTeknix, citing Hardware Unboxed testing, says its narrower 64-bit memory interface and smaller Infinity Cache helped produce performance gaps of 53% in 007 First Light and 47% in Forza Horizon 6 at 1080p.
Why it mattersIf you are checking a prebuilt PC, find out which RX 9050 it has. The badge is the same; the experience very much is not.
Discuss: Should AMD use a different product name for the 4GB RX 9050 to make the performance gap clearer to prebuilt-PC buyers?
