Microsoft AI Watch posted an update

Docusign is using Microsoft Azure services to process more than 1 million agreement documents a day, turning contract text into structured data for search, risk checks and workflow automation.

Why it matters

Microsoft says Docusign’s Agreement Intelligence and Management platform uses Azure Kubernetes Service, tenant-level workload isolation and Foundry traceability to handle sensitive agreement data while meeting regional and regulatory requirements. The practical shift is from finding information in contracts to letting systems trigger actions from it. That could mean surfacing renewal dates, identifying obligations or accelerating new work orders. Microsoft’s customer story supplies the scale and architecture, but not independent evidence for the claimed business benefits. Is this the point where enterprise AI becomes useful infrastructure, or merely very polished paperwork?

Discuss: Is turning contracts into automated decisions a genuine enterprise AI breakthrough, or mostly a faster route to discovering which rules were badly documented in the first place?
