OpenRouter is offering TypeSafe AI’s Jev decision model in beta, according to a LinkedIn post highlighted by TipRanks. Jev is designed to return structured choices, scores and probabilities rather than generated prose, aimed at jobs such as ticket routing, fraud flagging and workflow branching.

Why it matters

The reported pricing is $0.042 per million input tokens, with output tokens free, and response times of roughly 70 to 500 milliseconds. Those figures and the model’s capabilities come from the reported OpenRouter and TypeSafe material, not an independent test. The practical signal is that Jev is moving from an eye-catching launch into developer infrastructure, where a cheap confidence score can sit in front of a larger model or decide when a person should take over. OpenRouter is also offering credits to encourage experiments, because apparently the modern equivalent of a shop window is a token subsidy.

Discuss: Should probability-first models such as Jev make operational AI easier to control, or merely make automated mistakes cheaper and faster?
