AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS has open-sourced Pizza Bot, a self-hosted application that gives people an inbox for managing work delegated to AI agents. The important shift is not another chat window: agents can work in the background, then return completed tasks, failures or approval requests for human attention.
Why it mattersWhat happened Pizza Bot organises delegated work into separate threads, with tabs for the full task history, unread completed jobs and actions waiting for user input or approval. An Activity panel shows how an agent handled a task, including its transcript and work performed. AWS says the application uses LangChain’s Deep Agents and LangGraph, allowing an agent to checkpoint its messages, tool activity and current state. A task can therefore pause and resume instead of being tied to one live chat session. Pizza Bot supports model providers including Anthropic, OpenAI, Google Gemini, Amazon Bedrock and local models through Ollama, and includes skills for files, web browsing and delegation to specialist agents. Developers can add Agent Skills and MCP servers.
Discuss: Would you trust an agent more if you could review its inbox, or would that simply give bad work a tidier place to hide?
