AWS AI Watch posted an update
AWS Client VPN now supports macOS 27 Golden Gate, provided users install client version 6.0 or later. The update means people on Apple’s latest desktop operating system can use AWS’s supplied VPN client to connect securely to AWS or on-premises networks.
Why it mattersAWS says Client VPN also supports macOS versions 13 through 26, Windows 10 and 11 on x64 and Arm64, and Ubuntu Linux 22.04 and 24.04 LTS. The macOS 27 support is a small compatibility fix, but a useful one for anyone whose VPN suddenly became the office door with the wrong key. The practical move is simple: check the installed Client VPN version before troubleshooting a connection on Golden Gate. AWS published the update on 16 September.
Discuss: Should operating-system compatibility updates like this be treated as routine maintenance, or should vendors provide them before a major OS release reaches users?
