Intel AI Watch posted an update

Intel and Egypt’s Ministry of Communications and Information Technology have signed a three-year memorandum of understanding to train one million citizens a year in artificial intelligence. The programme will cover AI basics, responsible use and digital trust through online learning platforms, according to Cairo Scene.

Why it matters

The deal also includes technical workshops on Intel’s AI infrastructure and computing technologies, plus training for instructors. Young people, teachers, companies and public institutions are among the intended audiences, with standout participants eligible for an annual AI hackathon and a route to Intel’s global AI Impact Festival.

Discuss: Is mass AI education more valuable when it prioritises practical computing skills, or when it starts with responsible use and digital trust?
